We are already 3 weeks or so into Feburary and I am finally starting to make moves to make this a better year then the last couple with my photography and definitely with my website.

I have been shooting Olympus Mirrorless for a long time now. I want to say for ten or so years (at least), I started with an OMD E-M1 and eventually moved up to two of them for my concert photography. Then I moved up to the OMD E-M1 MKll and of course since I was shooting concerts had to have two of them. I never bought them as soon as they came out. I got the Mark lls after the Mark llls amd E-M1X came out, when they were considerably cheaper then the flagships and then Olympus became OM Systems and the OM-1 came out. Last year they introduced the latest and greatest… The OM-1 MK ll.
A great looking camera with features I really wanted to try and have in my camera
I mean c’mon Neutral Density filters programed in the camera and with the Mark ll even Graduated Neutral Density filters programed in it and top it off with Starry Sky Autofocus ANDDDD the ability to charge the batteries in camera using a USB-C cord. Back in December, the OM-1 MKll went on sale for the holidays, then I got an email from OM Systems giving me an additonal discount on top of that because I already own the OMD E-M1s and my local pawn shop took temporary possession of my OMD E-M1s and lenses so I could become the new proud owner of the OM-1 MKll.

The camera isnt the only change I am working on this year but also my photography

I have decided it is time to start getting back into Concert Photography again

A couple of weeks ago I started back into shooting shows covering Slaughter and Ace Frehley at Mohegan Sun Areana for my old friends and online outlet Northeast Rock Review the same people who gave me my start so many years ago. I am still using one of my old OMD E-M1 MKlls and my new OM-1 MKll coupled with the old workhorse of a lens, my 12-40 f2.8 PRO. The buttons are a bit different and I have to get used to them, but it was great being back in the photo pit again. So much so, that I have covered another show since the Jan 31st show at Mohegan Sun
From a 70s Guitar God to a 80s Guitar God
Still flying on the adrenalin of the Jan 31st concert, I had the chance to cover Lynch Mob at the Webster Theater in Hartford this last weekend. The review and galleries will be posted soon over at Northeast Rock Review! Once they post it I will share it here and on my socials. Going from a venue as big as the Arena to something a tenth of the size, this camera still performed well. I just didnt LOL Still getting used to using the camera, but I am loving what she can do. I have actually been tempted to bring along my old school Olympus OM1 35mm and try to get some shots. I didnt realize just how much I missed doing this and the people I knew in the photo pit.

I plan on putting more time into the website this year
I dont plan on getting gear centric or boast just how great my camera is or was, just how I go about doing what I love to do, share some of my inspirations and definitely tell you about my dreams and how I am trying to make them come true. Everyone has their vlog or blog telling you how to do something or how good their gear is or how bad someone eses gear is. It doesnt matter. What matters is getting out there with the gear your familiar with doing what you love. So in the coming months, I figure I will talk about waterfalls, concerts, cameras, Jeeps (specifically Cherokees lol) and I think maybe some cryptid stuff and a place or two I like to eat and other things. I am thinking about starting a vlog and will probably take ya’all along for that ride.
I know this one is boring, but keep coming back. I am slowly adding to the Concert Photo Gallery and will be adding more to the other galleries!
